Our Once Upon a Stage Kids Theatre Workshop series is back to celebrate the winter season with a flare! With this session's Winter Wonderland theme, kids will step into a magical world of snowy adventures and frosty fun while exploring the magic of storytelling, acting, and creative play. They’ll create their own characters, learn fundamental theatre skills, and bring snowy scenes to life on stage; as, they foster confidence, creative skills, and friendships in a supportive and engaging environment. No experience or prior participation required!

KTC is thrilled to be partnering with the King Heritage & Cultural Centre once again to bring back a new session of our one-day children’s workshop.

The day will end with a special performance where participants will showcase their skits for family and friends at pick-up time.

Workshop Details

Ages 6-10. Maximum 10 Participants.

This program costs $65 for King Township Residents and $71.50 for Non-Residents. No HST is charged for this program.

Financial support for eligible registrants is available through King Township's Community Assistance Program (CAP).

Workshop Instructors

Chloë Rose Flowers - King Theatre Company

Chloë Rose Flowers is the founder and Artistic Director of King Theatre Company. Chloë is committed to making theatre an enriching, joyful, and transformative experience for young artists. With years of experience directing children’s theatre camps and working with elementary and middle-grade students, Chloë brings warmth, expertise, and creativity to her teaching.

Aside from launching King Theatre Company, Chloë has worked for theatre companies across Ontario. She is an award-winning performer, playwright, and producer. Chloë holds an honours degree in Drama, Theatre, and Performance Studies from the University of Toronto and has studied under industry-leading mentors. A huge fan of Disney, Chloë recently worked on The Lion King at Mirvish Productions, and starred on-stage as Ariel in Disney’s The Little Mermaid.

Adrian Forestieri - King Township

Adrian Forestieri has served as the Director of Camps and Inclusion Services in King Township, bringing over four years of experience working with youth. His leadership focused on creating inclusive, engaging programs that fostered growth and community for campers and staff alike. Adrian served as the Director of Camps and Inclusion Services in King Township, bringing over four years of experience working with youth. His leadership focused on creating inclusive, engaging programs that fostered growth and community for campers and staff alike.

He has also taught music at the K-12 level, sharing his expertise with students of all ages and fostering their growth in technique and musical understanding. His work includes contributing to ensemble performances on French horn and providing rhythmic and melodic support.

Workshop Policies

At our children’s educational programs, fun and creativity take centre stage! To make sure every participant has a fantastic experience, we follow a few important guidelines.

Our programs thrive on teamwork and friendship. Every child is encouraged to uplift and support their peers. Bullying or unkind behaviour of any kind is not tolerated—our goal is to create a safe and welcoming space for everyone to shine. Children are expected to show respect for their fellow participants, instructors, and the environment we share.

Following these guidelines creates a positive, supportive environment where children can grow in confidence, build friendships, and develop valuable skills both on and off the stage.
